Den enkeltvigtigste faktor i en dansk lease er, hvor meget bilen reelt koster dig over kontraktperioden i forhold til, hvad den koster fra ny. Mobilsidens 45%-tommelfingerregel siger, at hvis dine 36 ydelser plus førstegangsydelse overstiger 45% af nyprisen, har du betalt for meget. Vi vægter det samme princip her — men på en glidende skala, ikke et binært ja/nej.The single most important factor in a Danish lease is how much the car actually costs you over the contract period relative to its new-car price. Mobilsiden's 45% rule of thumb says that if your 36 payments plus first payment exceed 45% of the new price, you've overpaid. We weight the same principle here — but on a sliding scale, not a binary yes/no.

Range Value

Rækkevidde er kun værdifuld i forhold til, hvad du betaler for den. En SUV med 500 km for 4.000 kr/md er ikke nødvendigvis et bedre tilbud end en lille bil med 350 km for 2.500 kr/md — det afhænger af, hvad cohorten ellers tilbyder. Derfor bruger vi percentiler inden for karrosseritype, ikke absolutte tal.Range is only valuable relative to what you pay for it. An SUV with 500 km for 4,000 kr/mo isn't necessarily a better deal than a small car with 350 km for 2,500 kr/mo — it depends on what the rest of the cohort offers. That's why we use percentiles within body type, not absolute numbers.

Charging Speed

Forskellen mellem 50 kW og 150 kW på en kørsel København-Aalborg er en pause på 30 minutter mod en på 12. For nogle køreprofiler er det afgørende; for andre ligegyldigt. Vi vægter det moderat — 15% — og rangerer cohort-relativt, så en bybil ikke straffes for ikke at lade som en familie-SUV.The difference between 50 kW and 150 kW on a Copenhagen–Aalborg drive is a 30-minute break versus a 12-minute one. For some driving profiles that's decisive; for others it doesn't matter. We weight it moderately — 15% — and rank cohort-relative, so a city car isn't punished for not charging like a family SUV.

Software Longevity

En 5 år gammel elbil føles mærkbart ældre end en 5 år gammel benziner — kabineteknologi, navigation, lade-software og batteri-management bliver opdateret over-the-air. En lease på 36-48 måneder rammer netop den periode, hvor uden OTA-support begynder at gøre ondt. Tesla, Polestar og Skoda får fuld score; mange traditionelle mærker scorer her lavt.A 5-year-old EV feels noticeably older than a 5-year-old petrol car — cabin tech, navigation, charging software and battery management all get updated over the air. A 36–48-month lease lands squarely in the period where lack of OTA support starts to hurt. Tesla, Polestar and Skoda score full marks here; many traditional brands score low.

Lease Flexibility

De små bogstaver, ingen læser. 10.000 km/år lyder fint — indtil din vinterferie i Berlin koster 3.000 kr ekstra i overskridelsesgebyr. Vi læser dem og koger dem ned til et tal her. Vi vægter det moderat, fordi det rammer en mindre del af alle leasere — men hårdt nok til, at en lease med 1,50 kr/km overskridelse aldrig får topscore.The small print no one reads. 10,000 km/year sounds fine — until your winter trip to Berlin costs 3,000 kr in overage fees. We read it and boil it down to a single number here. We weight it moderately because it hits a smaller share of all leasers — but hard enough that a lease charging 1.50 kr/km in overage will never score at the top.

Brand Reliability

Vi vægter det lavt, fordi de fleste moderne EVs scorer højt og tæt på hinanden.The only component that isn't directly about the economics of your deal. We include it because safety and reliability affect total value — a brand with documented high downtime can become a bad experience no matter how cheap the lease is. We weight it low because most modern EVs score high and close together.

Hvad betyder "cohort-relativ"?What does "cohort-relative" mean?

To af de seks komponenter — Range Value og Charging Speed — udregnes som percentil-rangeringer inden for samme karrosseritype, ikke som absolutte tal.

Det betyder: en lille bybil bliver kun sammenlignet med andre små bybiler. En familie-SUV bliver sammenlignet med andre familie-SUV'er. Ellers ville den lille bil altid tabe på rækkevidde, og den store ville altid vinde — uden at det fortæller dig noget om, hvorvidt den enkelte aftale er konkurrencedygtig i sin klasse.

Konkret: hvis Volvo EX30 har den bedste rækkevidde-per-krone blandt alle små SUV'er i Danmark lige nu, får den 100 i Range Value. Den dårligste i samme klasse får tæt på 0. Alle andre rangeres imellem.

De øvrige komponenter (Total Cost Ratio, Software Longevity, Lease Flexibility, Brand Reliability) udregnes absolut — fordi de meningsfuldt kan sammenlignes på tværs af alle bilstørrelser.

Two of the six components — Range Value and Charging Speed — are computed as percentile rankings within the same body type, not as absolute numbers.

That means: a small city car is only compared with other small city cars. A family SUV is compared with other family SUVs. Otherwise the small car would always lose on range and the big one would always win — without telling you anything about whether the specific deal is competitive in its class.

Concretely: if the Volvo EX30 has the best range-per-krone of all small SUVs in Denmark right now, it gets 100 on Range Value. The worst in the same class gets close to 0. Everything else is ranked in between.

The other components (Total Cost Ratio, Software Longevity, Lease Flexibility, Brand Reliability) are computed in absolute terms — because they can meaningfully be compared across all car sizes.

Editorial overrideEditorial override

Der findes situationer, hvor formlen ikke fanger virkeligheden. Måske ved vi, at en specifik udbyder har et ry for langsom udlevering. Måske er der en kampagne-periode, hvor en model er ekstraordinært let at få. Måske er der en nyligt opdaget mekanisk udfordring på en specifik årgang, der ikke er afspejlet i EuroNCAP-data endnu.

I de tilfælde kan vores editorial-team justere scoren manuelt med op til ±10 point. Hver gang det sker, skal der gives en skriftlig begrundelse, og den vises offentligt under tilbuddet — så du kan vurdere, om du er enig i, at justeringen er rimelig.

Standard er nul. Vi bruger override sjældent. Når vi gør, er det for at fortælle dig noget vigtigt, vi har lært, som ikke endnu er inde i datasættet.

There are situations where the formula doesn't catch reality. Maybe we know that a specific provider has a reputation for slow delivery. Maybe there's a campaign window where a model is extraordinarily easy to get hold of. Maybe there's a recently discovered mechanical issue on a specific model year that isn't reflected in EuroNCAP data yet.

In those cases our editorial team can adjust the score manually by up to ±10 points. Whenever it happens, there has to be a written reason, and it's shown publicly under the offer — so you can judge whether the adjustment is reasonable.

The default is zero. We use override rarely. When we do, it's to tell you something important we've learned that isn't yet in the dataset.
